Mr. Boris Serebrennikov,
the Director of MWSM, holds a B.S/M.S. in
Mechanical Engineering from Moscow State University,
and an M.S. in Mechanical and Plastic Engineering from University of
Massachusetts Lowell. Mr. Serebrennikov has over 20 years of
experience in the industry including 7 years as Development
Engineering Manager at Essilor International. He also has 10 years
of experience in building a successful evening math program, having
worked with the founders of Russian School of Mathematics on the
numerous aspects of building a successful school.
Dr. Anna
Charny, MWSM
Educational Director and one of its Founders, received her Ph.D.
and M.S. degrees from MIT. She has a lifelong interest in teaching
advanced mathematics to primary and secondary school children. She
is a co-founder of Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School,
where she now serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. Dr.
Charny is employed by Cisco Systems, where she works on advanced
research and development of algorithms and protocols for next
generation networking equipment. She continues to maintain close
ties with academia, supervising doctoral research at Cornell
University and the Imperial College of London. She is a holder
of 19 issued US patents, with another dozen of patent applications
in review by the US Patent Office.
Mrs. Olga Serebrennikov,
the Coordinator of Parent-Teacher
Relationship and Marketing Director of MWSM, holds a B.S./M.S. in
Electrical Engineering from Moscow Technical University and an M.S.
in Electrical Engineering from WPI. She has extensive industry
experience in the field of Telecommunications Networks. Mrs.
Serebrennikov is currently employed at Ciena Corporation in Acton,
Massachusetts, leading the
Ethernet Services Provisioning Switch development project. She also
has extensive experience in private tutoring and has taught at
Russian School of Mathematics, Newton , MA for the last 5 years. She
was one of the first teachers at MetroWest School of Mathematics.
