Monthly Puzzle Contest

Puzzles help train out-of-the-box thinking, and keep up interest in math. They frequently tie together many unrelated things children learn in the regular program, and most certainly they train logic.

We also offer puzzles to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles of our students. It adds a bit of a completion between the generations – and we must say parents are trailing behind their kids as a rule!

Our Puzzle Contests are posted about once a month. Winners of each contest are announced and Winner’s Certificates distributed also on a monthly basis. We also award cumulative Prizes at the end of the year over all Contests of that year – so the more contests you participate, the better your chances. (Those prizes - please keep it a secret! - will be good! )

Note: only MWSM students and their relatives are eligible for the prizes – although of course everyone is welcome to send solutions.

Our puzzles come from a variety of sources – old books, old memories, old and new friends – and some of our own making.
