Welcome to Metrowest School of Math: A Place for Serious Math Instruction Your Children will Love
We are an after School K-12 Program located in Framingham Historic District off West-bound

the Map
We are an Affiliate of Russian School of Mathematics, serving over 40 communities in Metrowest area and beyond. Our Mission is to build a solid classical math foundation for our students, to develop strong logical thinking skills and to nourish the appreciation of the beauty of Mathematics. We supplement classical Math instruction with elements of Recreational Mathematics incorporated into the every-day program. We offer regular Puzzle contests for all ages (including our Parents), and provide training for and access to key National and International Math Competitions. Read more about us, our Programs and our Faculty, or see Testimonials from our parents and students.
About Our Program
We offer Math Instruction to K-12 students. Our K-5 Elementary school program meets once a week for 2 hours (1.5 for the Kindergarten) on a weekday evening or on a weekend. In these two hours a week we expose the children to concepts they rarely see in their regular programs, including starting Algebra as early as in Kindergarten and 1st grade! Early exposition to Algebra in combination with logical problems are proven to accelerate cognitive development. We influence how children approach problem solving and build critical thinking skills. Our students learn to love math rather than fear it.
The road to your child's college starts in Middle School. This is the time for building solid foundation in Algebra and Geometry, and giving kids the essential tools necessary to navigate the road to the best colleges. Start early and watch your child get ahead of the game. Our 6th graders meet once a week for 3 hours, and 7th graders and up typically meet for 4 hours of Algebra and Geometry, either in one session on a weekend, or twice a week on weekdays.
High school is the time to keep working on college admissions. It is never too late to join, and improved GPA, SAT and AP scores will speak volumes about your child at college admissions time.
Our Math Challenge classes, offered in Spring and Summer, are dedicated to solving unusual problems and special topics in elementary mathematics not covered in our mainstream program.
In addition to our Math Program, we also offer a number of supplementary courses such as Chess, Creative Writing and English SAT prep. See our complete Program description for more detail and a complete list.

about MWSM || Our
Programs

...Both of us (myself and my wife) as well as Ayush love the school and its curriculum. I am extremely happy to report that Ayush scored 100% on his Math MCAS and we feel its because he attends MWSM. Thank you and your teachers for Ayush's achievement.

...The MetroWest school is an excellent resource for after-school Math education for our two kids in grades 8th and 4th. The school is everything one could hope for in an after-school Math program - the school is close to most suburbs in MA, has very professional and competent teachers, they know education for K-12 kids very well, and have a true passion for teaching Math to kids. In a few months of taking classes at the school we can see a marked improvement in our kids' Math skills. The school's Math education resources are also immense - the Math material further helps prepare kids very thoroughly for SAT and other national Math competitions.
- Hemant Singh, father of Maegha Singh (grade 9) and Kartik Singh (grade 5).

from 2008, we also offer a series of workshops in
the fall-winter prior to the January SAT test deadline.
