1.     Another crossing problem: Three knights and their three squires need to cross the river. They have a boat that can carry only two people. The squires refuse to be with another knight unless their own knight is with them. Can they cross the river?

 Solution:

2.    Arrange numbers 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4 in such an order that

-         There is one number between the 1s

-         There are two numbers between the 2s

-         There are three numbers between the 3s

-         There are four numbers between the 4s

 

             Solution:  41312432

  

3.    Connect the dots:

A.   Without lifting the pencil off the paper, connect 4 dots with three straight line segments, and return to the starting point.

B.   Without lifting the pencil off the paper, connect 6 dots with 4 straight line segments (but you do not have to return to the starting point.

C.   Without lifting the pencil off the paper, connect 16 dots using 6 straight segments, and return to the  starting point.
